Welcome to the launch of Shiny AI Syndrome, my new Substack newsletter dedicated to diving headfirst into the ever-expanding world of AI.
If you're anything like me, you're probably experiencing a unique blend of excitement and slight overwhelm these days. Every day there is either a launch of new AI tool or new release of exiting ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude, or a groundbreaking platform, a game-changing AI agent platform. It's like walking through a digital candy store where everything is gleaming and promising to revolutionize your life (or at least your workflow).
That feeling? I call it Shiny AI Syndrome. It’s the irresistible urge to click on every new AI article, the LinkedIn post about how someone created an AI agent or their own ChatGPT, the compulsion to sign up for every developer beta program, the burning curiosity to tinker with the latest agents.
And honestly? I'm not fighting it. In fact, I'm embracing it.
Why This Newsletter?
For months now, I’ve been on a personal quest to understand this rapidly evolving landscape. I’ve been:
Clicking the Sign-Up Button Relentlessly: From free signups to trying latest AI tools to subscribing to newsletters or following people who post about AI.
Tinkering the tools and building Sample apps: Theory is great, but I learn by doing. Expect to hear about the mini-projects and experiments I’m trying to work on to test these tools in real (or at least semi-real) scenarios or use cases .
Getting My Hands Dirty: I’m not just reading the headlines; I'm getting under the hood, trying out the interfaces, and figuring out the nuances (and sometimes the frustrations) of these new platforms.
This newsletter is my way of sharing that journey with you. Think of it as a curated stream of my AI explorations. I won’t be offering deep theoretical dives (for now, at least). My goal is to provide practical, hands-on insights into the tools that are catching my eye and, hopefully, yours too.

For those who don't know me, I've always been fascinated by the intersection of technology and creativity. I have background in Data (BI and Reporting) and Data Product and Program Management on GCP and Azure.
The current AI boom feels like a massive accelerant to that intersection, and I’m genuinely excited to experience it. I'm a firm believer in learning by doing, and this newsletter is an extension of that belief. I'm excited to connect with others who share this curiosity and are ready to jump into the AI deep end with me.
